About us
theatremonkeys was founded in 2006 by singer and dancer Lucy Stewart. Lucy founded theatremonkeys with an aim to bring fantastic quality theatre classes to children from 4 to 16 years of age and of all abilities.
theatremonkeys provide Musical Theatre classes, Street Dance Classes, holiday workshops and also enter pupils for L.A.M.D.A. examinations in Acting and Musical Theatre. We also offer private singing lessons. theatremonkeys are based in Haslemere, Surrey and are delighted to have the use of the beautiful Haslemere Hall Theatre for their classes and workshops.
theatremonkeys aims to provide excellent and inspiring teaching for children. All theatremonkeys staff are trained and experienced theatre professionals with extensive knowledge which they love to pass on to the next generation. theatremonkeys are proud to have professional links with performers from West End shows and the Pop Industry. There are visits each term to inspire pupils and in order for them to learn new skills.
theatremonkeys prides itself on providing a safe and secure environment for your child. Every member of staff is CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked to an enhanced level and are highly experienced with working with children.

STREET DANCE CLASSES
theatremonkeys run run fun and funky street dance classes for 6-16 yr olds. Routines are set to the latest chart hits and students learn fantastic dance routines which they perform to friends and family at the end of each term. These classes are on Wednesdays at Haslemere Hall.
Juniors: 5.00pm - 5.45pm (6-10 yrs)
Seniors: 5.45pm - 6.30pm (10 yrs +)

Stage Combat Workshop February 2009
On 8th & 9th February Robin Colyer will be coming in to theatremonkeys classes to teach students the art of Stage Combat. Robin has a wealth of experience in teaching the subject as well as appearing in the Harry Potter films and many other films and plays. We are delighted to welcome him.
